Green Kat cat litter is a wonderful, natural choice for your cat litter; created using recycled newspaper, it's completely natural with no chemicals or additives. You can feel good about using this cat litter, knowing that you are providing your cat with highly absorbent litter pellets, and doing good for the environment at the same time. Green Kat paper cat litter is made from a special process that converts waste newspaper into highly absorbent pellets that your cat will love and will make less of a mess for you to clean up. Fluids are drawn into the paper pellets while the fibres create their own barrier, effectively reducing the odour. Paper litter has virtually no dust, so you won't have to sweep up after your cat anymore!
For best results, pour litter 2 to 4cm deep into the tray, remove solid waste every day. Top-up if needed with fresh pellets, and completely replace at least once a week.
At first I loved this litter because there's hardly any trail when my cat jumps out, however after 4 days only I had to throw it away as it doesn't absorb the smell of the urine and you can't scoop the urine as it doesn't clump. I used half of it and I'm waiting for my litter powder to arrive to see if that will help with the smell. The smell of ammonia from the urine was so overpowering that the whole house smelt of urine and that was just one cat. I have 9 cats and thought I'd try this, but I've gone back to Cats best original, which is messy but absorbs the smell. This litter would be more suited to an outside area, but definitely not indoors.
This is a highly affordable product that works but I find that it is necessary to immediately remove portions that got into contact with pee and poo. If not, then the smell can get really unbearable. This is in comparison with coarse clumping litter that will smell unbearable after 6-7 days of daily removal of pee and poo.
